2009 Scottish Crime Fiction Round-Up

A very delayed post today, since the coach from the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival took 12 hours, instead of the promised 8. So, rather than the usual news round-up which I will get back to tomorrow, here is a list of all the Scottish crime fiction books published in 2009 (well, as many as I could find, so if I have missed any off, please let me know). I'll catch up on comments tomorrow too. I'm now off to bed - shattered, but happy, having seen some great bands and had some good laughs.

  1. I had the chance to read Switch by Grant McKenzie. A fast paced page turner that I fought putting down. Great characters and twist that you could not see coming. Can't wait for another offering from Mr. McKenzie. Could easily become one of my favorite authors...

I had read all the reviews of Switch by Grant McKenzie and wondered if it would live up to all the hype. It certainly did! I couldn't put it down, so much so my children were late to school one morning! Well worth all the brilliant reviews and well worth reading for yourself.

  4. Some cracking books there, Donna. For what it's worth my very favourites were Caro Ramsay and Tony Black. With Bill Kirton, chris longmuir and Denise Mina getting special mentions.

  7. I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy of Switch by Grant Mckenzie. The writing was so visual, I felt that I could actually see the characters of this excellent book. Does anybody know if Grant will be writing another book? If you do, share the name, I can't wait.
